Kids, Teens & adults Yoga in your Community
Children and Teen yoga classes are being taught by many qualified yoga teachers across Perth. Here are a sample of a few fantastic and fun classes held during school term.
Kids SchOolTErm cOurses:
Venue 1: Twisting Fish Yoga Studio, Shop 19 Times Square, Avion Way, Claremont
Twisting Fishies Class 3 to 6 years, Saturday 11:45 to 12:30pm.
These classes are fun, lively and full of games, singing, drawing and laughter. These budding young yoga enthusiasts will be taught yoga through story, play and art.
Twisting Squids Yoga Class
6 to 10 years, Wednesday 3:30 to 4:30pm.
These classes include the above elements of fun and creativity with added levels of depth. Children come to life in the traditional yoga poses role playing anything from great mythical warriors full of courage and fearlessness to quiet still mice resting peacefully. Relaxations are longer, correct posture is focused on and full breathing is encouraged. All in all these classes are very dynamic, appealing to both boys and
girls.
Twisting Teens Yoga Class
10 to 14 years, Tuesdays 4:15 to 5:15pm
These classes are all about slowing down, being in control of body and mind and transitioning gracefully from childhood to
teenhood. Again the elements of creativity and story play an
important role in inspiring students to practice the ancient art
of Yoga. Self discipline, positive thinking, coping with strong
emotions and improving self respect are all key focus areas.
Yoga poses are taught with more detail and advanced
variations are given when appropriate. The class always
finishes with a long guided relaxation and meditation is
introduced.

Yoga for the whole family, including YOU!The above 2 classes are run simultaneously in the same
venue in adjacent rooms. (Primary level and Adults/Teens). This creates a lovely opportunity for parents and teens to enjoy their very own hour of peace and calm.
As parents you are the first and foremost teacher of your own child. Your children will naturally mimic your behavioral patterns be they desirable or not so desirable. If your intention is for your child to develop a positive and centred attitude towards life then it is important for you to develop those
attributes in yourself.
Attending a regular weekly yoga class will also help improve
your bodies suppleness, assist you to find peace of mind and put you on the same wavelength as your children post yoga class. What a lovely space to be in!
Adults/Teen classes are the same cost as childrens classes.
Web albums are available at the end of each term for participants to view, share with family and friends and download. Please contact Sahaja for link details.
More Classes, more teachers, more venues and more time to relax . . .
Would you like your children to try Kids Yoga but can't make any of the above classes? There are several yoga studios and teachers offering Kids Yoga right across Perth.
