Initial Consult Remedial Massage

Service Description

Your initial Remedial Massage consult will involve filling a simple health history and consent form. We discuss this and the reason/requests for this massage. Physical tests, such as orthopaedic, strength, range of motion and postural assessments may be made during this time to better ascertain the location or cause of your discomfort or restriction. A treatment plan is discussed and agreed upon before commencing. A range of remedial massage techniques will be used to assist in decreasing your symptoms and improving your wellbeing. Complementary modalities such as dry needling, myofascial cupping, heat/cold or TENS may also be used to assist. You are always in control of the treatment and request chage of position, pressure, technique at any point in time. Post treatment a reassessment may be made to ascertain any changes or improvements in your symptoms/ROM. Suggestions and exercises may be offered to assist in a home care plan to continue the 'remedial' changes to occur. Follow up treatments may be suggested to assist your journey to wellness.
